If you are hypermobile, you may have plenty of flexibility but find it harder to sense where your joints are positioned or control movement through your full range. This sense of where your body is in space is called proprioception.
The reformer provides resistance, support, and more points of contact with the body. This extra feedback can make it easier to feel where you are, control your movement, and build strength around mobile joints.
